If you’re a lover of cannabis and all things gummy bears, you might have been curious about how to make weed gummies.
Cannabis-infused gummies are one of the most popular products in dispensaries – and it’s no wonder why.
They’re easy to dose in small amounts, are discreet and convenient, and they’re fun to eat!
You’re more likely to be consistent about your dosage if those qualifications are met, and consistent dosages lead to more consistent effects that you can modify throughout your healing journey with cannabis.
Today, I’m going to walk you through one of my all-time favorite recipes. While weed gummies may seem silly, I’ve found them to be a hugely helpful tool throughout my journey in using cannabis for chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, and weight loss.
Benefits of Marijuana Gummies
You actually want to eat weed gummies
Unlike tinctures, capsules, or oils, weed gummies are fun. They’re something you look forward to eating.
Here is one of the biggest benefits of using cannabis gummies as medicine: they don’t feel like medicine.
And, if you’re on a healing journey that involves lots of supplements or medications, it’s awesome to have something that’s part of your routine that doesn’t feel like you have to take it. You’ll want to take it. You’ll enjoy it. And that’s its own medicine.
This doesn’t just work for cannabis either. I noticed that I’m more likely to be consistent with taking just about any herb, as long as it’s in gummy form.
The recipe below makes the best-tasting cannabis gummy I’ve made so far. You don’t have the taste of alcohol like you do when making weed gummies using tinctures, and the plant material is already removed, so the flavor is milder.
Weed gummies are much healthier than most edibles (when you make them at home)
When we think of edibles, we typically think of chocolate bars, cookies, and -obviously- brownies.
When I set out to make healthier versions of all of these things, I could usually only get to “healthier”. Most of the recipes I made were still treats that wouldn’t derail me, but that I didn’t feel good about eating every day.
Weed gummies are the exception to this. When I looked at what was in the ones at dispensaries, I vowed never to eat one of those again but didn’t know if it would be possible to make a gummy I’d feel good about eating, that would taste good.
This weed gummy recipe hits the mark on both health and flavor. These gummies support your gut health, and if you use the tart cherry juice or concentrate, you’ll add anti-inflammatory and brain health benefits. They’re simple, with just a few ingredients and I feel great taking these every day.
If you’re keto or on Whole 30, you can skip the sweetener altogether or use monk fruit/stevia to taste.
Caution: Weed Gummies can be deceivingly strong
Cannabis gummies are very versatile in terms of how strong you make them, especially when using concentrates (see recipe below for other options).
You can pack a lot of cannabinoids into a small package,…
